Menkes supports BILD’s public awareness campaign to respond to top housing and development related questions in the GTA
You may have seen the ads all over the news, on the radio, on even on billboards on your drive to work, You’ve Got Questions. We’ve Got Answers. Menkes recently teamed up with The Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) to help raise awareness for the organization’s six-week campaign, Building Answers. The first-of-its-kind public awareness campaign aims to answer some tough questions on housing and development in the GTA, in an open and honest manner; the goal being to provide the public with a better understanding of some key issues.
With 1500 member companies, BILD is the official voice of the development industry in the GTA. Last year, the organization teamed up with IPSOS to conduct a poll to determine the top 24 questions amoung residents. From these polls, key themes emerged such as affordability, supply, and the impact of development on the economy.
According to BILD’s President and CEO, David Wilkes, BILD receives many inquiries from the public on a regular basis on housing and development in their communities, and the campaign will endeavour to answer as many questions as possible.
Developers and home builders operate in a highly regulated market, working with all three levels of government: federal, provincial and municipal; however there are some common misconceptions, particularly around affordability. As one of the leading builders in the GTA, Menkes is pleased to be able to support BILD in this worthwhile campaign, and help set the record straight when it comes to some key issues facing our City.
