Celebrating 4711 Yonge Street

April 11, 2018

Menkes’ signature Class A office tower in North York and home to the company’s corporate head office

Menkes’ 4711 Yonge Street office tower recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. This exciting milestone also marked the completion of the building’s extensive lobby renovation. The management team was joined by Menkes’ executives, employees and tenants, including Procter & Gamble, the building’s longstanding anchor tenant of 30 years.

The celebration featured social contests, live music and food, including care packages provided by the property’s newest tenant Oliva.

“Environmental awareness and action are at the forefront of our business approach and  the great partnership between P&G and Menkes over the past 30 years reinforces  both organizations’ commitment to excellence, quality and our ongoing commitment to improving sustainability at the property says Elena Muto General Manager Menkes Property Management at 4711 Yonge Street.

This impressive 30-year-old building continues to stand the test of time, keeping pace with towers half its age. Built in 1987, the award-winning, 16-storey building has 390,000 square feet of office space and offers direct access to the Sheppard-Yonge subway station, with a wide range of amenities in the nearby vicinity.

With a strong commitment to sustainability, the property not only meets industry standards but continues to set the bar for sustainable best practices, having recently garnered a number of notable accolades.  It achieved BOMA BEST® Platinum certification (Building Owners and Managers Association of Canada), with a score of 91%, and became WiredCertified Gold for Best-in-Class Connectivity, a commercial real estate rating system that empowers landlords to understand, improve, and promote their buildings' digital infrastructure. Additionally, 4711 achieved Fitwel certification, a revolutionary and evidence-based building certification system for wellbeing in real estate. This keen focus on actively promoting opportunities for improving occupant health and well-being, is perhaps one of the reasons the building retains tenants for 30 years.

4711 Yonge Street is a tower that will continue to adapt to the area and the industry, and Menkes is proud to call it home.
