Menkes’ 19th Annual Golf Classic Raises Funds for Three Toronto Hospitals
Menkes hosted their annual 19th Charity Golf Classic at the Lionhead Golf Club in Mississauga on Thursday September 7th, 2017. The tournament, attended by family, friends, employees and sponsors, was a tremendous success.

With the help and generosity of its donors, sponsors and volunteers, Menkes was able to raise $165,000. The money raised this year will benefit three healthcare organizations, West Park Healthcare Centre, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, and Kensington Health. All three organizations provide a diverse range of tools and services to help their patients live better and happier lives.

The funds raised this year increased Menkes’ cumulative fundraising efforts from its Charity Golf Classic to over $1.3 million dollars in 19 years.

Speech and Stuttering Institute Silver Sponsor
The 6th Annual Walk & Run for Stuttering Awareness, to raise money for The Speech and Stuttering Institute, took place on Sunday September 24th in Toronto.  Menkes was honoured to be a Silver Sponsor.

Reel Asian Audience Award Sponsor
We were a proud sponsor of the “Audience Award “at the Reel Asian 21st Anniversary Film Festival this year which took place from November 9-18 in Toronto. The winning film received a cash prize of $5,000.  Congratulations to this year’s winning film, Bad Genius.  The Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival is a unique showcase of contemporary Asian cinema and work from the Asian diaspora. Works include films and videos by East, South and Southeast Asian artist in Canada, the U.S., Asia and all over the world. As Canada’s largest Asian film festival, Reel Asian provides a public forum for Asian media artists and their work, and fuels the growing appreciation for Asian cinema in Canada.

AeroCentre-Citywide Food Drive Challenge
HOOPP Realty Inc. (HOOPP) and Menkes Property Management Services Ltd. (Menkes) proudly thanked the AeroCentre workforce for their contributions to Mayor Bonnie Crombie’s third annual Citywide Food Drive Challenge at a wrap event hosted at the AeroCentre facility Monday afternoon. AeroCentre and its tenant employees successfully raised 1100lbs of food that will be provided to hungry families across the City of Mississauga this holiday season.

AeroCentre and its tenants have participated in the Citywide Food Drive Challenge through the One Bag Challenge, which is hosted by Her Worship Mayor Crombie in partnership with the Mississauga Food Bank, for three years running. Each year presents a new challenge and a new opportunity for AeroCentre to give back to its neighbours across Mississauga, by collecting non-perishable food items to be donated to those in need.

Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Home Lottery Winner
Menkes was honoured to be a part of the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Home Lottery this fall, with a Bryon Patton (Patton Design Studio) decorated condo at Harbour Plaza, which was the lottery’s Best of Toronto Bonus Prize.

Located in the South Core Financial district at the corner of York and Harbour Streets,  this cozy 1 bedroom plus den suite can be enjoyed with all the building’s amenities including a state-of-the-art fitness facility with an indoor pool, party room, lounge areas, an expansive outdoor terrace for social gatherings and a direct connection to the extensive PATH network.
