Menkes unveils new bus shelter

July 26, 2017

HOOPP Realty Inc. and Menkes Property Management Services Ltd. express thanks and announce new bus shelter for AeroCentre employees at their Annual AeroCentre Employee Appreciation BBQ

MISSISSAUGA, ON (July 26, 2017)—HOOPP Realty Inc. (HOOPP) and Menkes Property Management Services Ltd. (Menkes) proudly thank the AeroCentre workforce with their Annual Employee Appreciation BBQ. Much more than burgers and hot dogs, this afternoon of celebration and appreciation gives Menkes, HOOPP, and invited guests an opportunity to meet and speak with partners and employees of the AeroCentre business community.  The event will take place on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Max Ward Park, 2380 Matheson Blvd E, Mississauga.

In conjunction with the BBQ, Nick Macrae, Senior Portfolio Manager at HOOPP, Noah Gordon, Director of Portfolio Management at Menkes, and all of Menkes welcome VIP guests Mayor Bonnie Crombie, Councillors Chris Fonseca, Ron Starr and others for a MiWay tour of the Mississauga Transitway. To commemorate this update to the public transit system, Mayor Crombie and other invited guests will participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony which will take place opposite 5560 Explorer Dr (north side of street) at 1:15 pm, immediately following the transit tour.

A new bus shelter will be unveiled just north of the AeroCentre property. The bus shelter is an important step in improving transit options for the thousands who work at the ACC, and more specifically the AeroCentre, every day.

“At the City of Mississauga, Council and staff are committed to ensuring that we invest, improve and expand our regionally-integrated MiWay public-transit network,” Mayor Bonnie Crombie said. “The private-sector wants public transit built. Improved access to transit helps companies improve their ability to recruit the best, hire the best and maintain a highly-skilled and talented workforce. With the addition of this new MiWay bus shelter, the City of Mississauga once again is demonstrating its commitment to help the businesses of our globally competitive Airport Corporate Centre do business and remain ahead of the competition.”

The ACC accounts for 90% of the jobs in the City of Mississauga and is central to the second largest employment centre in Canada. With great food, entertainment, music, and a step towards a transit update for the ACC, this promises once again to be a very successful event with approximately 1500 people expected to attend.
