We have an exciting opportunity for a talented leasing professional who is driven by results, growth, and a dedication to customer service. We have a number of positions both on a temporary (six-month term) and permanent basis. As a Leasing Specialist, you will embody professionalism and expertise, employing a proactive approach to align clients' needs with available properties. We seek individuals who excel in networking, negotiation, and problem-solving. Acting as the intermediary between applicants and Menkes Rental Suites Management you will facilitate property viewings and lease negotiations.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Leasing Supervisor, the incumbent’s responsibilities will include:
- Schedule and conduct property viewings, ensuring comprehensive showcasing of suites and amenities to prospective tenants.
- Provide detailed property information to potential tenants, addressing inquiries promptly and accurately.
- Market and prepare listings and marketing materials for the unit.
- Conduct follow-ups with prospective tenants, focusing on converting viewings into successful leases.
- Respond to rental inquiries via phone and email promptly and informatively.
- Communicate with suite owners providing regular updates on rental progress and negotiating lease terms.
- Process lease applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate tenant move-in processes, including orientation, inspections, and key handovers.
- Prepare lease-related documentation, manage payments, and deposits efficiently.
- Coordinate with cooperating brokers for MLS-listed properties, ensuring seamless showings.
- Ensure customer satisfaction for both owners and tenants with regards to the move in process.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of progressive work experience.
- Experience in residential leasing or rental management preferred.
- Demonstrated success in sales, particularly in lead conversion.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office, in particular Outlook and Excel.
- Solution-oriented with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to travel between various locations in the GTA.
- Detail-oriented with sound judgment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and maintain organizational excellence.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing processes and responsibilities.
- Availability to work evenings/weekends/holidays on occasion.
