We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Analyst, reporting to the Director, Financial Analysis & Reporting. this is an in-person role, based at our Corporate Head Office located in North York. The key accountabilities of the role focus on the creation and generation of cash flows and reporting for the High-Rise Residential and Commercial/Industrial Divisions. The ideal candidate will have a keen desire to learn to the Company’s business with the goal of enhancing processes and creating efficiencies.

Compensation: Annual base salary of $70,000 to $80,000

Responsibilities
- Monitor and update monthly cash flows for all High-Rise Projects, verifying that both soft and hard costs balance between budgets and financial records and update proforma summaries to reflect changes in key assumptions.
- Review monthly construction reports to validate construction costs and commitments against financial records
- Prepare various analyses for quarterly reporting on High-Rise Residential projects, including quarter-over-quarter analysis, actual costs to-date, stress test, variance analyses and 5-year operating returns (for rental properties) and consolidate into an Executive high-level summary report.
- Assist in the preparation of reporting for Joint Venture partnerships.
- Act as a lead in the preparation of monthly reporting on Commercial and Industrial properties, including 5/10-year Cash flows, working in close consultation with internal stakeholders to obtain finalized leasing assumptions and validation of assumptions against 3-year approved budgets, vetting and analyzing for anomalies and outliers.
- Generate the annual report for Commercial and Industrial properties on a property-by-property basis and update the Asset Management Summary.
- Prepare Monthly Draw Requests
Qualifications
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or Mathematics.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in an analyst role at a real estate development company.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, e.g. JDE EntepriseOne is an asset.
- Capable of communicating thoughts and ideas of a complex nature both in writing and verbally.
- Evaluative – Superior analytical skills with the ability to communicate well in writing.

- Structured – organized, with the ability to plan and work at a fast pace.
