Menkes and QuadReal Announce Topping off Mobilio

Menkes and QuadReal are proud to announce that the first community focused development in the core of Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, reaches structural completion.
TORONTO – July 14, 2022 – Menkes Developments Ltd. (“Menkes”), with QuadReal Property Group (QuadReal), is pleased to announce the completion of the final exterior structure for high rise portion of Mobilio, a community in Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) offering a mix of high rise condominium towers and townhome residences.
As the last of the concrete was poured for the south tower, employees and trades gathered in the retail space on the ground floor of the east tower, for a “topping off” celebration (the first held in person in several years), to mark the significant milestone and thank everyone for their hard work.
The 13-storey south tower is the third and final of the three high rise buildings to reach structural completion. The project first broke ground in June 2020 on the 15-storey west tower, with the 18-storey east tower following shortly after.
Comprised of over 1,000 units, Mobilio will feature a mix of high-rise condominium towers and two-bedroom and three-bedroom townhouses, including some with rooftop terraces. It will be the first project in VMC to incorporate a mix of high- and low-rise housing types, park space and amenities all in one site.

The vibrant new mixed-use community is walking distance from the VMC transit hub and will be anchored by a linear park, part of Vaughan’s Black Creek Renewal project. Once complete, the Black Creek Renewal will establish a series of promenades, plazas and parks, spanning over 30 acres.
Expected occupancy for west tower is Fall 2022. The east and south towers will follow.
