Menkes honoured with National BOMA Awards

The Company was presented with National Earth and TOBY Awards, further confirmation of its commitment to excellence in commercial real estate.
TORONTO, ON (Sept.15, 2022) - Menkes Developments Ltd (Menkes) is pleased to share that it was recognized with two prestigious awards at this year’s Building Owners and Managers (BOMA) National Exhibition Conference gala held in Charlottetown, PEI.
Menkes’ Class AAA landmark office tower 25 York Street was honoured with the BOMA Canada Earth Award. As an award-winning 786,000 square-foot building, 25 York Street has previously earned the highest BOMA BEST certification score and Canada’s first-ever Fitwel certification for an office building, this additional accolade further positions the property as a leader in sustainable best practices.

In line with Menkes’ commitment to sustainability, the Company is proud to share that Kennedy Matheson Industrial Complex, a 500,000 square foot, 3-building, industrial complex in Mississauga, was recognized with The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award, a major feat for the industrial sector and property. This award recognizes buildings that demonstrate a commitment to reducing their environmental impact and make significant efforts to conserve energy. All facets of a building’s operations are thoroughly evaluated including community impact, tenant relations, energy conservation, environmental, regulatory and sustainability standards, and for the training of building personnel.
