MENKES CELERATES ANOTHER YEAR OF THE CHARITY GOLF CLASSIC

September 14, 2026

Over $2.3 Million Dollars has been raised over the past 26 years in support of various healthcare institutions.

Toronto – September 14, 2026 – Menkes Developments Ltd is proud to have hosted the Company’s 26th annual Charity Golf Classic at Lionhead Golf Club in Mississauga last week. The tournament, attended by family, employees, and sponsors was a tremendous success with over 280 golfers in attendance. Thanks to the generous support of its sponsors and participants, Menkes is pleased to share that over $2.3 Million Dollars has been raised over the past 26 years in support of various healthcare institutions.

Access to healthcare is a passion of the Menkes organization and is one of the largest recipients of its support. Each of the Company’s main principals is committed to volunteering their time to further healthcare in Canada. Steven Menkes, President of Low-Rise Residential, supports the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Alan Menkes, President of High-Rise Residential, serves on the board of the University Health Network (UHN) and Peter Menkes, President of Commercial/Industrial, serves as a trustee of the UHN.

“Giving back has always been an important part of who we are at Menkes. Our commitment extends beyond building communities: We believe in helping strengthen the organizations and initiatives that contribute to the health, well-being and quality of life of people across the GTA,” said Steven Menkes, President of Low-Rise Residential.

This year, the tournament is pleased to support, as part of Menkes’ continuing pledge, the Breakthrough T1D (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Breakthrough T1D works every day to change the reality of this disease for millions of people, and to prevent anyone else from ever knowing it, by funding research, advocating for government support of research and new therapies, ensuring new therapies come to market and connecting and engaging the type 1 diabetes community.

“Menkes is proud to continue supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families across the communities where we live and work. Through initiatives like the Charity Golf Classic, we are grateful for the opportunity to bring our partners and colleagues together in support of vital healthcare programs and the people who rely on them,” said Alan Menkes, President of High-Rise Residential.

In addition to Breakthrough T1D, the Company is proud to be supporting the University Health Network and their foundations, which work to transform UHN hospitals - from the creation of new medical and research facilities to the recruitment and retention of the best health care professionals and scientists in the world. More specifically, our support will go to the We Walk UHNited event.

“The Golf Charity Classic continues to be one of the most meaningful events on the Menkes calendar, bringing together our employees, partners, clients and friends for a cause that is close to our hearts. We are incredibly thankful to everyone who continues to support this tradition and help us make a lasting impact through their generosity,” said Peter Menkes, President of Commercial/Industrial.

Menkes is proud of the lasting impact this annual event has made over the past 26 years and is grateful to all sponsors and participants who continue to support its mission. With another successful tournament completed, the Company looks forward to carrying this tradition into the years ahead.
